This week in the studio...(Drum roll please!) Dynamic processing. Well i'll start off by saying i've been looking forward to this session the most. Compression, mainly, and how, why, when, what, where to apply it, has been my mission for several months now, so it was good to get some loose ends tied up. I worked with 5 or more compressors they have in the studio like the EL8, 1176, LA2A to name a few. Each on several different instruments, and vocals. It was a lot of fun, and I got a lot out of it. It was cool to see how each compressor affected the same instrument in a different way, and why you would choose one over the other for various reasons. Anyway, good stuff, lots of fun!
