chapter 12 mix theory Posted on 2014-05-05 by Heather Henderson

Learned how to set up a mono fader.  Listening to mix in mono should be done for every mix.  It helps develop mix by ensuring all instruments and effects are being heard correctly.   Learned how to bounce to mp3 to get a point of reference mix.  Mr. Rooney encourages us to be listening to other artist music so that we can begin to hear with a more trained ear.  I have been listening to artists like Phil Collins and Luther Vandross while trying to hone in on some of the effects used back then in order to try to possibly reproduce some of that classic sound.

Homework has been creating a rough mix from previous studio sessions.  I love mixing.
