Edgar VazquezDenver Recording Connection

Blog Entry #3 Posted on 2014-10-28 by Edgar Vazquez

This week was very interesting. This week's lesson consisted of Basic Electronics and Digital Audio and how, when, who, why, and where they work. Ive learned that there are many different situations when i might be working with digital audio. For example, when im converting analog audio to digital, or when im working with MIDI! For the basic electronics part, well essentially that comes into play all day every day! I got to work in the studio this week helping Andy out with recording vocals! I got to help set up mics and set up the studio before hand for a guy named Gary. Gary was a very cool dude to meet and to work with! He was a rapper from Colorado who had a strong religious faith and a very sweet rap flow. I think the funnest part of the day was getting to watch all the takes and tracks add up from nothing to this big four minute song! I honestly cant wai to start helping out more and more during studio sessions! I had so much fun this week!
