This week I covered chapter 7 which was all about planning and tracking.The chapter talked about studio equiptment and how to set it up in Correlation to the band I would be working with In that particular session, planning the session with the band, setting up for the session and how to track it for another session, and how to handle a session professionally. For my class with my mentor/engineer Anthony, we talked about the drum miking placement and the best way they would work in regards to different genres of music. I also luckily was able to get into a session with another engineer named John and a local Denver artist named Andrew Craig. It was really cool to see how John worked with Andrew and just the different ways that he maneuvered pro tools during the session. I can't wait to see what's in store for next week!
