May 17th 2013: Time in 1145 am: Time out 3:45 pm: Lesson 2: Today we discussed reverb. The three different reverb instruments we were using was a spring leaf reverb (which has its name because a big spring that is used to send a signal through the coil system to achieve reverb), TC electronics and a Lexicon. Geoff showed me examples of reverb on a track he was working on with one of his artists on his label "Joe Allan and Isa. " The track was called "Home Grown" he showed different variations of reverb on the bass drum, snare, vocals, and the jambi. Then we discussed pink noise that its the same volume at every frequency, and I was also able to meet a few other apprentices of Geoff's Alex and Carson. Then we went over lesson 2 and Geoff read to us a bit about his mentor Brooks Author.
