I learned today about Promotion. On how the Promotion Department primarely focus's on to secure radio play for the record labels new releases. It is the most expensive part of Major label budgets, but also the most effective way to deliver new singles to the consumer. I also learned about Music Director and a Program Director and how they are different, and mediabase is the industry standard data tracking tool for radio stations airplay.
