Sorry it's been so long since I last blogged! Recently, my boyfriend accepted a VFX position at a game studio here in LA, and so we made the transition here! We've both always wanted to live here, but everything definitely happened very quickly. I moved to a studio in Burbank called ESAudio and am working on finishing up my last few chapters there. So far I'm really liking it. I feel like my mentors have a lot of interest in me as a future engineer and it makes me want to put even more effort in. Within my first couple weeks I even re-mixed and recorded some spots for my commercial demo!
A few days after polishing my demo, I ended up being able to read for an agent who was really interested! She recomended a class to me (which I will be starting in June) and is keeping in touch which agents only do if they're really interested in you, so that's cool!
This Tuesday I will be going to the studio not only for my lesson, but for some work! When I was at my lesson the other day I was referred to a client looking for a singer and voice actress for childrens nursery rhymes and he booked me right on the spot!
I haven't even been in L.A. a month and so much has happened already. I'm really looking forward to what the future has in store!
