I'm playing catch up on my posts, so please bear with me!
River City is currently working on a horror film, and I've always been very interested in sound design for film and animation. From the time I was about 13 I've been experimenting on my own remixing scenes from my favorite animated series and dubbing over them, trying to make them sound as close to the original and as realistic as possible. I was very pleased when my mentor just kind of told me "take a seat and have a go at it!" I worked on a scene in Pro Tools and just asked my mentor when I had questions. For me, this is definitely the quickest way to learn, and I really did learn a lot. Trying to set the mood for a film takes a lot of work, and panning things was very important for the scene to make the viewer feel like they were experiencing what the characters were.
I feel like I had a lot of good suggestions for the scene, and it will be exciting to see some of my work appear in an actual film!
