I have always found drums to be the most interesting and complex to mic, and this week I got to do it hands on, along with another intern (who actually got to do some freelance work with the studio that day as well). River City has an amazing collection of microphones, and it was great being able to understand my mentors choices. A couple weeks ago I was also introduced to signal routing in the studio, so setting up the drums good experience. 

River City also runs Local Spins Live, where we bring in bands to perform live and promote themselves. It was a really big live setup, and it was nice to see something like that in action. The video can be found here: https://youtu.be/ennT8pGEIh0
