I entered my second week of the program and my learning continued. I got to sit in on another recording session. A rap artist was laying vocals down. and continue to learn from the engineer. We had lab this week where I learned about the "sweep" technique when you are EQin. You sweep for the "muddy sounds" of the vocal and you take it away. I also got a chance to meet a producer named Kojack2k. I really wasnt familiar with him. But his music sounded great. So when I got home from the session, I looked him up on Instagram. Turns out, he is an RIAA Certified Multi-platinum producer. I thought that was pretty cool. You never know you are going to run into at Studio 713.
