How it all started for me Posted on 2012-03-29 by Travis Irvin

Around high school right after I graduated (2006) I was introduce to fruity loops 3 which was at the time very exciting. My brother in law gave it to me after he saw me writing lyrics as a hobby. He told me it was a beat making program and would be very useful for what I was doing. He didn't tell me though how big of an impact it was gone have on my life as I got older but I open it and stayed on it for 24 hours. It was so overwhelming but eventually I got use to and made my first beat. I'm just gone say it, it was crappy lol but at least I tried. I didn't even realize how good I was getting over the years until people kept complementing me on my instrumentals. After my friend got out the navy we formed a group called Wired-Up and started doing a couple of shows. It didn't end so well cause of the fact we was with a crappy promoter, so we stopped after a while in 2010. I kept producing beats everyday getting better and better just to increase my chances of success. I went to school to be an Audio Engineer but I got tired of loosing so much money and going through all these class rooms that didn't have nothing to do with recording. So eventually I stop going and just when I thought everything was over I ran into a success story who was from recording connections who notice I had an ear for music and recommended me to try them out. I did and now I'm working at a professional studio in houston,tx as an Audio Engineer apprentice without the hassle of unnessary classes. I was put straight in a studio for hands on training and loving every moment of it.
