Week 16, MIDI I had no clue what MIDI was at all when is started this chapter. I did not even know what it was at the end of the chapter. I went through the chapter and read it enough to get the answers on the test but I really didn’t know what this chapter was talking about. Changing something to sound like something else. I caught all the parts that talk about using a built in MIDI. It wasn’t until I got to the studio that I got the hang of it. I went through the chapter and got enough to take the test like I said then I headed into class. Tyler and I went over the test. Then he broke it down in a really cool way. He got out a couple of cables, a keyboard, an amp, and a MIDI. Then he said go not knowing at all what I was doing I put the pieces together. I was sending the keyboard though the MIDI to the amp to make it sound like anything. I believe I made it sound like an organ to start off with. Then we moved to protools he got a littler MIDI to usb cable and we hooked it up to the computer which was amazing. I actually have a MIDI to usb cable in the mail and I cannot wait for it to get here.
