Week 15, Time Based Effects this was one of my favorite chapters because I felt like I knew the most about it. When I started this program I had only dealt with live sound and everything I knew I had taught myself, I thought reverb was bad I did not really know what it was for. I feel like reverb was one of the first things that I learned when I started this program. So almost a full chapter on it was amazing. I went through the chapter feeling pretty confident. And went into school feeling much better than I did with chapter 14. I went into the studio and Alex and I went over the quiz and then we opened protocols. Although I felt pretty good Alex mad sure I was confident. He made sure I knew the different between reverb and delay, and what they both do. Once he showed me the delay and reverb on protool we moved to the tape machine. He showed me everything that he uses when he records with the tape machine. Although I feel like I got a grasp on reverb and delay at the beginning of this program it was cool to see it used more and put in a more in-depth way. Reverb started off as a bad thing and now it’s helpful to get a unek sound to different things.
