Week 17 - Recording Audio for Sound Design Posted on 2018-07-01 by Kyle Ellis

This week was on recording audio for sound design. Luckily I have gotten more familiar with simpler and sampler as they are very powerful tools, but I know I could experiment with this more to really get unique sounds.

This week I recorded an artist that wants to do a cover of Niall Haron's track, Slow Hands. His vocals are a deeper and does not have quite the range as Niall, but he sounds good enough to set a decent vibe to the track. I also recorded a blue grass artist who is going to feature her banjo, vocals, and some other string instruments on her EP. We recorded 5 tracks of just banjo on Saturday, so I will be comping and providing a basic mix of everything by end of week.

I still have a few artists that are interested in recording and more and more seem to be messaging me for collaborations. I hope to close the deal with a few of them so I can continue to feature vocalists over my work!
