This week's chapter was on mixing 101, which was a great review for what I've learned in the studio. The tips about what compression settings to use (generally) depending on the type of instrument (drums, vocals, etc.) was also helpful to review as it helped point out what problems you may run into when mixing. Overall, the knowledge in this chapter was a great foundation for anyone getting started in audio.
This week I have been working on mixing an artists vocals with her acoustic guitar recording that we did at the studio. I will be finishing it up this week and then moving back to my own projects, which I am excited about.
