Week 18 - Sampling Posted on 2018-07-08 by Kyle Ellis

This week's lesson was on Sampling, which was awesome to learn more about Simpler's and Sampler's powerful tools.

This week I focused on comping vocal takes from one of the studio sessions I ran last week. I'm going to be tuning it and placing it into my cover project of Slow hands very soon. It has been very fun to use my musical ear to effortlessly replicate the song in Ableton!

As for the banjo player, she let me know she found another studio, which is awesome because I did not enjoy mixing her songs as I am more into EDM production. Either way, it was great experience to go in and run a session, as well as using Pro Tools and mixing an acoustic instrument.

I hope to finish this cover project within the next week and then finish my other projects and record more vocalists in the studio.
