Lesson 14 went over signal processing, artificially simulating environments through effects, and also touched on different kinds of software plug-ins. I never actually knew that almost all effects like chorusing, flanging, echo, reverb, etc., all originate from delay. However, now that I think about it, it makes sense why that'd be, I just never realized it before. It briefly went over different effects like chorusing (combining two signals that are slightly de-tuned in relation to each other and one is slightly delayed), flanging (mixing sound with adjustments in frequencies), and various other kinds of effects. This lesson was more over a reiteration of the last couple of chapters. Overall, Joey and I also talked about other kinds of digital effects like digital reverb, and how you can create different halls, chambers, plates, and acoustic kinds of reverb, all within the computer. It's pretty amazing how we have changed so much because of the digital era we live in.
