Lessan began at 12 noon asa always and ended around 4pm. This lesson was on basic microphone placement techniques. Donny and I began the lesson by going over the different types of microphones over again which made the lesson easier. He explained to me each of the 4 different microphone placements and also how important it is to do a practice rundown in order to adjust soloing change the eq etc. Donny explained to me that there are no rules to mix placement its all on the sound that people want so the mix can be placed anywhere even in a empty soda cup, also explained the importance of having a track sheet for record and easy to look back on. The lesson ended and started going over the quiz, we then set up next weeks appointment. I really enjoyed this lesson gave a good insight on the 4 recording fundamentals on mix placement, i am really enjoying working with Donny looing forward to next week's lesson.
