Lesson began at 12 noon ended at 4 pm. The lesson on we worked on this week was plug-ins which was really interesting. Me and Donny worked in studio A because nobody was using it at the time. Donny started by opening up pro-tools and started to show me a few plug-ins. He then began to talk about how each plug-in has a certain effect to the frequency of the sound and how and when they should be used, altough there are no rules there are guidlines he said that could make it much easier on me in the long run. Donny began talking about compressors, eq's, limiter's etc. Donny then began to talk to me and give me a few pointer's on how i should run my lesson's once that time comes. He explained that i always have to be prepared for anything to happen, i cant let the artist know that i am having a hard time, make the artist feel like i was the rite choice for the job get things done quickly because they are the one's paying for the studio time last thing they need is a engineer to slow them down. Donny had a few things to do at home so we ended the lesson around 4. We set up next week's lesson which i am really looking forward to.
