Today we had an amazing guitar player play the rhythm, licks, and solo tracks for Stairway To Heaven. Each part was doubled - having a musician play a second time over the first time. The rhythm part was panned left and right to give a spatial effect. Each note was so precise, that before it was panned, you could hear some phasing. The doubled licks and solos were kept center just to create a bigger presence. A 12-string guitar was also added at the end to add strumming over a wide range. I could not detect any mistakes, but Michael and the guitar player were able to tell some notes that were off in pitch, timing, or technique.
