It's certainly been a long time since I've posted a blog. A lot of things have happened during that span. For the Recording Connection, our final project is to bring in a client and record and mix a track for them. Well in January, I met two different clients. One is an R&B singer named Cameo, who has an awesome voice, and a rap group called Soldier Click A.K.A the SDot Gang. Unfortunitely, I ran into some difficulties when I originally had the SDot Gang as my client, and they decided not to reply to any of my messages after we set up a recording date and everything. And I wasn't able to get a hold of Cameo since I met him in the studio back in January.
So I ended up recording my friends and I, which worked out the best because I was able to utilize recording bass, guitar, synth, and drums. We recorded on Febuary 29th, (oh yeah, AWHADUP LEAP YEAR!), and it went amazing. I nailed my drum track in one try. While my friend Nate, the guitarest, had to do 47 takes of his entire track. So I go back to the studio on March 8th to start mixing the track. Hopefully it's not a multiple day process.
