I can honestly say that this chapter was very intriguing to me. I see how planning is the most important part of a successful session. If you have all the key elements in place and you understand what ahead of you and what kind of artist your dealing with it can really make things run alot smoother for you as a engineer. In life we always want things to run smooth in any situation with less hassle as possible and planning is the key in achieving that goal as an engineer and i know every session wont be perfect but understanding whats ahead of you never hurt anyone in my opinion. I also believe it establishes positives relationships between the engineer and the client and we all know that what we want. A happy customer means more business and i definitely want to be successful as a audio engineer.
