Today I got to sit in while my mentor mixed a recording of a televized concert in 5.1
I knew how important panning was before this, but 5.1 takes it to a whole new level.
On another note- the 5.1 mixing room is incredible here- a floating room, amazing racks of gear, everything is covered.
It's a great studio and I was lucky to get to sit in on this session and even contribute my thoughts to the mix!
