Today I took one of my home recordings to the studio and got to practice mixing it on their SSL. Definitely a system that requires lots of hours to get the hang of. It was great to be able to run my tracks through things like a neve eq, fairchild compressors, etc, and hear the difference it makes. If nothing else, I learned that I need to work on my room acoustics at home- you can really hear the problems when you're sitting at a proper mixing booth.
