I met with Ric Web this past Tuesday to begin my training, and it was an awesome start to the course. We went over the first two lessons, and he filled my brain with so much information and knowledge. As I told him, I tend to be a great memorizer which is a blessing and a curse, beacuse while I tend to do well on tests, sometimes I'm not actually learning the information. Well, Ric definitely made me feel like I understood all of the information given to me. We talked about everything from sound, wavelengths, vibrations to electricity, the ear and even room acoustics. He has an amazing way of cutitng it down to the most basic concept to help you understand. It was a great start, and it's made me really excited to continue working with him on this journey. So far, I find phasing fascinating (who knew sound could just disappear?!) as well as masking and equalizers to prevent masking. I can't wait to start working with ProTools!
