Lesson two with Ric was just as informative and interesting as lesson one! We talked more about equipment, and he explained all the devices the sound goes through in order to come all the way from the microphone in the recording room to the speakers in the studio. We also talked about memory, storage and compressing files. As a photographer, I could relate to that as well as the bit depth and noise being similar to resolution and pixels in images. We also dove into Chapter 4 about connectivity and learned about all the different types of cables I will be using. It was slightly overwhelming but I'm hoping I'll get more familiar with them once I start using them. He explained patchbays to me as well. I am excited to continue learning!
