This week we learend about tracking - how to plan ahead and set up a room for a band. We talked about plot maps and being prepared and asking questions to the artist(s) beforehands so I am prepared once they come in and know what to expect. I can be ready with the microphones needed, etc. This was a quick lesosn because I did not have ProTools as yet so we had to wait until I received the program and my iLok. Still, everytime I am with Ric, we go over past topics I have learend and sometimes over new topics as well. I brought in some equipment I had from home (an MBox, a condensor microphone and some cables, and he showed me how to set it up for I can start recording at home). I'm always full of questions and he's always ready to answer them. I'm enjoying our lessons! :)
