Lesson 2 Posted on 2014-04-17 by Brendan Daly

April 15 was my second day in the studio with my mentor Devon Kirkpatrick of sockit studio. When i arrived at the studio we went right into the studio room and went over the test. Went over the protons neutrons and electrons and how they make up the atom. The difference among the three, how protons are positive, neutrons are neutral and that electron are negative. Went over how resistance works and how it is measured in ohms. Same on the voltage and current. Voltage is measured in electromotive force and current is measured in amperes.

Talked about the three basic measurements of electricity which is Resistance(I), Voltage (V) , and Current (C). Also went over the two major categories of electric circuit analog and digital. Told me that both are still used today and how some artists prefer analog over digital. Talked about the cons and pros of using both in the music. How difficult it is or how time consuming it is working with analog then working with digital. Also went over the difference among alternating current and direct current. I have to say that this lesson was petty self-explanatory but I know I have a lot more to learn. Cant wait for the next lesson!
