Ch.3 Posted on 2016-08-16 by Eunice Gee

Very interesting to learn how clipping affects digital audio and not analog. Learning about all the different types of digital recorders were a handful. Although I tried to keep all models in mind, it's difficult to remember them and its fuctions without actually putting the knowledge to use, in a practical way. The introduction to samplers, sequencers and synthesizers was helpful even though I have come accross those terms and even use them in Ableton. Understanding and applying the different methods to save audio files is helpful for  future projects. Memorizing terms, purposes, models, names, etc. will be the most difficult task for me with each lesson. I hope to gain more insight and remember all the important aspects of digital audio through the use of practical application.

Though, I do remember that 44.1khz is the standard sample rate for CDs and I don't think I will ever forget that now.
