To be honest, this was probably my least favorite chapter. I felt it was geared more towards the promotion of ProTools than anything else.. I did learn about the history of ProTools and the awards they've won but I would have liked to cover more topics regarding the actual software. Maybe because it was an intro chapter to protools. Nevertheless, I did learn tips on how to manage the software on my laptop, which I found useful. I never thought of turning off auto-save for any program but knowing this bit of into could help save my work down the line. My favorite part about this chapter was going over the amount of files/folders a session might have. 8. the answer is 8. And knowing the purpose of each file and how it affects or does not affect the actual session, gives me the control over how I want my session to be - whether it is preference or layout.
