Eunice GeeNew York City Recording Connection

Ch.4 Posted on 2016-08-23 by Eunice Gee

I really appreciated this chapter as I have always been surrounded and exposed to most of these connectors on a daily basis and never knew their purpose or anything about them. I've always seen XLR and TRS cables ever since I was young singing sunday church songs using a mic with an XLR cable that was connected to a preamp. This made even more sense when Mike brought out each cable wire the chapter reviewed and help bring the practicality in laymen's terms. I never would have thought that the ELCO was still in use (considering how bulky and ancient it looks) but there it was.. in use at the Engine Room Audio. I hope to learn more in-person by hopefully being able to gain more observation days.
