It is amazing how sounds that seem simple can be so complex. Everything from the frequency to the phasing can pretty much make the sound great or completely kill it. It really puts the importance of mixing into perspective. Arranging and altering sounds to create a sonic masterpiece using knowledge of how audio is percieved by the human ear makes one appreciate musical work a lot more.
