Since I had started my entire DAW experience with Reason years ago (after Garageband) I felt like I knew a bit about how certain plugins connect to each other and the basic ins and outs of a studio set up. Certain things seemed similar but the different types of cables and how it affects the sound was new and interesting. While in studio B I saw a simple patch bay that didn't have much going on so near the end of the lesson we walked over to the bigger studio where I then saw at how large of a scale these boards worked.
