USB Midi & Electronic music sequencing Posted on 2013-07-20 by Tobias Langston

Date 7-18-13 Time in 8:00pm Time out 11:00pm Lesson 16

For this lesson Asaf and I went over saquencing and sampling and In's and outputs for USB Midi, USB/Midi "in port" revieves messages from the host computer or other midi device.  USB/MIdi "out port" sends info out of the keyboard or control surface.  And USB/Midi "Thru" provides an exact copy of the incoming data at the Midi In port and transmit this data out to the devicein the Midi data chain.  Up to 16 channels can be transmitted thru' a single midi cable if there are enough voices in the hardware keyboard.  Also went over Synth, which uses multi tone generators to create sound, and a sampler reproduce sounds that have been digitally reored onto RAM.  While asaf and i went over our lesson at the end we statred to mess around with Pro tools and make a beat, Asaf emailed me the beat and wants me to work on it and add to it, and make a HIT!  Also met a new student his name was Erian, just started the program nice kid.
