Connectivity is an audio engineer or even a musicians best friend. There’s a ton of different cables and connections. XLR,RCA,TRS etc. XLR being a prime example and necessity to setting up mics for instrumentals and vocal recordings. These other cables you might find plugged into a snake on the wall maybe even routed into a patch bay. Ok so not maybe into a patch bay. I mean it will be it’s the main hub for an audio engineers work. RCA cables were typically quite famous for VCR and VHS tapes although not widely used today. TRS cables are generally used for mono and stereo unbalanced signals. They are also used for electric guitars.
