Today, I got to sit in on a vocal session for an AMAZING Soul/R&B/Pop singer. She did several takes for two cover songs, and boy could she sing. While in the control room, Joey talked me through what he was doing on his end. I learned several keystroke commands for pro tools as well as some tips regarding microphones and placement. The great part about today's session was that I got to learn some things that cannot be read in a textbook. I got to be in a professional environment - and I had fun being there. What a great experience to have this early on in the program.
