RRF - Chapter 1 Blog Posted on 2015-03-29 by Anne Jacobs

This lesson was a hard first lesson to take in when going into this course blindly, but my mentor did an awesome job at dumbing down the material for me.

I learned about sound waves, sine waves, frequency, beats, noise masking, what a safe noise level is, ADSR, that humans can only hear a certain frequency range, and animals can hear a much higher frequency range, and SO much more.

Our first recording session was very interesting. We worked with a male vocalist who composed, sang and played his own gospel music. My mentor was able to get a pleasing sound and re-master a few tracks that needed to be matched in volume, and made similar to one another because he was going to then-after put them all on a disc. for the artist.
