The other day i was at the studio,  me and my mentor discussed microphones. learning about mics are fun to me because of all the differnt uses they offer. Differnt polar patterns will obviously give you differnt fuctions, a bass mic is differnt from a ribbon mic, but even differnt brands of the same type of mic will give you a differnt flavors.

After our discusion he said he had to go but if i wanted to stick around, there was another engineer coming in to mix a session he tracked. I ended up staying all night till 9 or 10 and learning some new things in protools. we bonded nicely and i ask some questions,  but didnt want to distract him too much from what he was doing.
