Chapter 2 Posted on 2015-02-12 by Neil Goss

While reading chapter 2 I didn't really understand why the content was so heavily concentrated on actual electronics.  I guess it got more interesting and understandble as the chapter went on and Hollis (audio engineer) made me realize why some of the content was so important.  The main problem I am having at this point is remembering the different terms and how they relate to audio engineering.  It would be helpful if someone from RRF came up with a list of terms that DEFINITELY need to be remembered.  And examples of how those terms work in real life studio sessions.

I went to my first studio lesson and found it to be very interesting.  There were two highschool students and a pianist there that song a few different songs together.  They (one girl and one guy) were very good singers for their age and even though it was my first studio lesson I could tell right away.  It was interesting to see the dynamics of how Hollis kind of sat back and let them do their thing.  I'm looking forward to another studio lesson and learning more about the real life studio sessions and audio engineering in general.
