My First Lesson Posted on 2017-07-28 by Joshua M. Phady Frost Jr.

Sitting in Black Diamond Recording Studios reading my lesson of the Hip-Hop program; vibing to music. From the first lesson it was more of "brushing off the cob webs" from my knowledge of Hip-Hop. Growing up my parents are music listeners but my dad was the one I got my Hip-Hop knowledge from. My dad listens to Snoop Dogg, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5, Tupac, E-40, a whole lot of Bone Thugs N' Harmony, Dr. Dre, etc. I listen to varierty of Hip-Hop, from east, west, north, and south side. On my libary of music on my spotify i have mixture of new school  and old school of my generation and older generation as well. From Logic, Wiz Khalifa, Rakim, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, A Tride Called Quest, Nas, etc. And also the ones I listed that my dad listens to too, but that's just a little piece of what I listen to. I can't even fathom of how much music I listened too just in Hip-Hop. I don't know how I got my writing skills from but I think it's the music I listen too. Some people could figure out thier style their sound from who they listen too, but I could never figure that out. Knowing your sound your style from the artists that influenced you. That's hard, so I never think that. I just write what vibes me cuz I'm always in my head. It's my thoughts turned into words on paper with a tempo. So I think this Hip-Hop program will give the materials and rich knowledge of the Hip-Hop genre. Help me feed my vision of my music, give me rich inspiration to trigger my creativity.
