Lesson #20

The final lesson. After reviewing the longer written exam, Brian had me bring in a few tracks that I have been working on so that he could show me how to master them. Before telling me this, he explained that mastering is something that takes time. Its not like just throwing a plug in over everything and calling it done. It involves listening deeply so you have an overall sound that the artist and engineer can both agree on. Taking this class totally changed my outlook on music as a whole itself. I still obviously have a ton of work to do still, but atleast now I know exactly what I need to improve on. I still go back to sketchpad studios to record vocals and mix with Brian so I can contunue to learn! It has been a great experience!!
