I have been using plug ins for years! I just had no idea they were called plug ins. So the definition of a plug in is; "software utilities which offer virtually every processing function imaginable". Something very interesting I learned was the use of reverb. I would always see the name "reverb" in my editing programs but I never understood what it was. Then my mentor and I discussed it and he told me it's everywhere. Now that he explained to me what it was used for, I have noticed it in almost every single song I listen to.
