Along with this chapter informing me on the different types of mics in the studio, my Mentor Mack guided me with importantn knowledge on how and where to set up these mics on drums. Monday I headed in early to the studio to set up drums for a drum sesssion that afternoon. The sessions before he was showing me the channels an pres they went to, so that day I was able to set it up. from the MD 421 to ribbon and room mics mack and i had it finished and ready. Our drummer for the seeion was eager to get in and start recording which he did an awesome job! Having the opportunity to place and set the equipment was a great experience so i can already know how to do it correctly when my time comes to do it on my own.
