As you can tell from my previous posts I'm not much one for niffty tiltles of blogs. I save all my nifty titles for songs, barbs against other people and for writing the odd short or long story.
Speaking of songs, I worked on a really good cover this week. It was a local band called M.C and the Mystics. I don't as of this writing recall the song, but that's not the important part.
the important part is working with really good audio, played by pros, in a pro setting, recorded by someone who wants to be a pro (a fellow Sinko student) it was a lot of fun to work on, minimal compression, a bit of reverb here and ther to give them a room. The Vocals were spot on so tuning wasn't an issue. you know a quick run through melodyne just to make sure what we already knew. Pitch Perfect.
I did so well with my mix Mark was going to let them here mine along with the other student. Felt pretty good. Now I just need to learn to be faster at putting the rythm section together so I don't linger on mixing just the bass and the drums.
