The 5 Year Plan Posted on 2015-02-03 by Raymond Cole

As I was looking through the added extras of this RRF, part of the social networking side is this blog.  I was looking at the stay connected and the first assignment is to write a five year plan.  This is a daunting task.  I being a person who doesn't really think that far into the future, not because I believe the world is going to end soon, although it's possible.  Not because I don't see a future for myself, I do.  The thing that is daunting is to break down future dreams into a clinical step by step manual that will get you where your going.  That's the Daunting part.  It's seeing the tree bark for the Forest.  I've also never been challenged to do something like this befor, so it's not only daunting, but a little frightening as well.  How do you start?  They say a journey starts with a single step, but what's the end goal, what do I really want to do? Am I freaking out or what.....

Then it hits me.  I've always known what I want to be.  An entertainer, so that's the end goal.  The RRF has helped in great strides because now I know how to record and produce the stuff that helps to entertain.  Now where do I want to be in five years.  Maybe a studio somewhere, recording the next great rock n roll record, or voicing the next great american Audiobook, Truth is I want to be in both those places, I just don't want to be here anymore.  I think that's the first step, is knowing that where you are isn't where you want to be.
