In chapter 12 I learned a lot about mixing. Each person will mix a song differently, just like every painter will paint a picture different from the next. I learned that you have to balance everything in the mix in order for it to sound how you would like it. You want to balance things like eq, gain, compression, etc. I also learned more about creating a stereo image and how it is important because a good stereo image will paint a good picture in the listeners head. I also learned some things about mixing for the master and how that can affect the outcome of the final product. In the studio me and Mark Sinko went over more miking techinques for different instruments and we set the studio up for a band that is recording Saturday. We got all of the mics in the correct position and we made sure our signal paths were all correct.
