In chapter 18 I learned about acoustics and monitoring. I learned about the history of the people who discovered the many things with acoustics and how important they were to the music we hear now. I learned how sound bounces off of different surfaces and how there are certain ways and materials to help prevent that. It's important to mix in a room that deals with acoustics well because if not you will hear things differently, such as a lot of high end, so then you will mix with less high end and the final mix will end up sounding muddy in a different room or car. In the studio with Mark Sinko we finished mixing the rock song and he showed me tips on how to eq a master track.
