Equalization is altering the frequency response of the audio signal. Chapter 13 broke down some of the history of equalization and its components. It also went over the parameters/pass filters and how they are used. I learned about the different filters in Pro Tools and seen examples of them in this chapter such as notch filtering or shelving. At the end of this chapter I used the plugins Pro Tools provides and started equalizing the tracks in the mix assignment. In the studio, we went over the different frequencies each instrument has and how to eq them. I learned how to apply some of the filters I read about to the tracks and now just got to practice what I learned so I can become more familiar with it.
