This chapter was a short chapter but was cool to learn. In the studio, Thomas, one of the engineers showed me when automation can be used. One example he showed me is when you need to turn the volume up on a particular part of the song but keep a lower volume for the rest of the song you can use automation to adjust it. You can also do this with panning from side to side. I then read the chapter and learned more about what each mode does such as read, write, touch and latch. I will learn to apply automation to my mixes when it is necessary. I finished up the chapter by completing the quiz.
