Last week in the studio I did some editing in Protools. I've never used protools before and haven't had any practice on it as my shipment of it still isnt here over 3 weeks after it was soposed to be here. So it was a bit of a challenge to jump right in and complete simple tasks. I have plently of experience on Logic, but the navigation is more complex and key commands are different so its gonna take some time to get used to. The good news is I realize it will be very useful knowing how to do all of the editing features. It seems the are a larger variety of funtions than in Logic. I've heard that Protools is better for mixing and editing in a lot of ways than Logic, and from what I've seen so far there are definite advantages. It was also helpful to have my mentor teaching me one on one how to do certain things rather than just watching a video or reading about it. I feel you can get more insight on specific details that way which generates a better understanding. -Brett Robinson
